Founder of Oobaloos and a Cotswolds-based wedding photographer who believes the best photos aren’t the posed ones. They’re the little glances, the deep breaths, the tears you didn’t expect and the laughter you couldn’t hold back.
Over the past decade, I’ve photographed weddings across the UK, and each one has reminded me why I do this: because your wedding day is about love, not logistics. And when you're caught up in the joy of it all, you deserve someone behind the camera who sees it - really sees it - and turns those moments into something timeless.
Today, I work with couples who care more about connection than convention. Who want relaxed, natural wedding photography that lets them be fully present, not worrying about the camera. I’m often called the photographer for people who hate being photographed - because making you feel comfortable, seen and truly yourself is at the heart of what I do.
Whether you’re getting married in a wildflower meadow, a rustic barn, or a beautiful old manor, I’ll be there - quietly capturing the magic, the mayhem and everything in between.
Oobaloos was born when I first picked up a camera to capture my son Bailey’s childhood - the name comes from a silly song I used to sing to him, and it still holds all the joy and nostalgia I try to capture in every photo today.
After photographing my first wedding back in 2015, I fell in love with storytelling through images, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Like many small creative businesses, Oobaloos had to pause during the pandemic. But the time away only deepened my commitment to what I do best: photographing honest, emotional, story-led weddings for couples who want to feel something every time they look at their gallery.
I’m based in the Cotswolds, but I’ll travel wherever your love story leads. My approach is calm, warm and unobtrusive - I’ll gently guide when needed, but mostly I blend into the background so you can be yourself. I don’t believe in endless posed shots or awkward direction. I’m there to document what’s real - the big moments and the quiet ones, too.
I’m Sheryl - photographer, storyteller, and quiet observer of life’s most meaningful moments.
A decade into this journey, I still get goosebumps when the music starts and the nerves kick in. I’m a lover of natural light, deep chats, and the kind of photos that make you feel something long after the day is done.
I photograph weddings with intuition, warmth and a laid-back presence that puts people at ease – especially those who say they hate having their photo taken. You’ll find me blending in, gently guiding when needed, and always chasing the in-between magic that tells your story best.
I call the Cotswolds home, but I’ll follow your love wherever it leads.

and you did it with such humour, fun and skill without us even noticing you were there taking photos
It was amazing having you there to capture our wedding day
“I don’t just want you to see what it looked like - I want you to feel what it was like.”
Whether you’ve got a date set or a dozen questions, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.
Let’s see if we’re the right fit.
