Cotswolds Wedding Photography: Rosie & Matt at Cripps Stone Barn

Cotswolds Wedding Photography

If I am totally honest, I have been putting off blogging this wedding. For my own selfish reasons, as it was the last wedding I shot before lockdown. Once the gallery was edited, delivered and then blogged, I knew it was all over. I miss working terribly and I want to thank all of my amazing and brave couples that have rearranged their big days around my availability. We are gonna have one helluva party when these weddings finally happen!

I know, that to all of you, your wedding photography was a priority, and I am very lucky to have couples that value me so much.

Thank you xx

Even in these uncertain times, people will still fall in love, get engaged, and spend this downtime planning their weddings in Gloucestershire and beyond. If you are just starting to look for wedding photography, please do get in touch. 2021 dates are already becoming extremely limited due to reschedules so do not delay!!

Here are some lovely words from Rosie & Matt who got married on 7th March 2020 at Cripps Stone Barn, a wedding venue in the heart of The Cotswolds.

Congratulations you lovely pair… I wish you all the very best in the world.

OobaLove, Sheryl xxx

“As soon as we came across Sheryl’s website we knew she was the wedding photographer for us– we loved the clever way she captured the emotion of the day and took such natural photographs of couples and wedding guests. Lucky for us, she was available and we booked her up!

Sheryl had some fabulous recommendations who we booked also – Anna Newman at Sugar Bowl Bakes made our very stylish and delicious cake (which Sheryl photographed fabulously!) and Katy Pheiffer and Andrea Luella were our make-up artist and hair stylist.

In the lead up to the wedding we met Sheryl at a local pub to get to know each other and talk through what we wanted to get out of our photographs – meeting her in person completely put us at ease (we were worried as we’re not natural posers!) and made us even more excited for the
day – she listened to our wants and needs and we were delighted that we had booked her (as well as being super-talented she is a wonderful addition to the day with her friendly, natural style and good humour).

On the day itself, Sheryl joined us in the morning while we were getting ready with Katy and Andrea. They had six of us to do hair and make up for which they managed with plenty of time to spare for bubbles and photos! Everyone was thrilled with their hair and make-up which (amazingly on a windy day!) lasted all day and night and looked great in the photos as well as in person.

Sheryl got stuck in straight away when she arrived – getting shots of all the important parts of the morning and even helped do my dress up for me (it had a ridiculous number of buttons which no one could seem to get in the right holes apart from Sheryl!) While we were travelling to the venue she was already there photographing guests and my now-husband and his best men and groomsmen.

We couldn’t be happier with our photos – so many people have commented on how lovely they are and we loved how Sheryl captured the feel of the day, the bits we missed and the emotions amongst our guests and ourselves. We can’t stop looking at them!

Lots of people also commented on the day about how lovely Sheryl was to have around and what a nice manner she has (she pulled the groups together for photos with great humour which really made them
fantastic) and we have to agree – we will be recommending her highly!

Straight after the wedding we were given a sneak preview by Sheryl of 60 photos from the day – it was amazing to have these and share them straight away, not having to wait weeks to see them

(it just made us more excited to see the rest!)

Thank you Sheryl – we are so glad that we trusted you with our memories”

I see and look at many many wedding photography blogs and I love the details and the light you capture in yours. That black and white one of the bride and groom near the end, perfect. Emotions and connection, my favourite kind of photography.
