Cotswolds Wedding Photographer at Cripps Stone Barn
Where did you get married and what attracted you to this venue?
We got married at Stone Barn which is in the Cotswolds. It was one of the first places we went to see and immediately loved it, from there nothing else seemed to match it. It was different to any venue I had been to before, with a warm, inviting and relaxed vibe which is what we wanted. The open kitchen is so cool and food is incredible so that helped too!
What was the best part of the wedding planning process?
Just the excitement of planning the day! We ended up on our 3rd wedding date because of covid so this was a challenge in itself, but all our suppliers were complete legends and we got there in the end.
What styling did you eventually go for and why?
I wanted things to be kept simple as the venue really didn’t need much. So we mainly focused on the flowers. We went for blush pink and ivory flowers with lots of foliage then kept it simple for table decorations with just foliage and various gold candlesticks. Most of the decorations we did use were made or upcycled by me.
How did you find your photographer and what was the most important factor in the perfect match for you?
I found Sheryl on Instagram. I spent quite a while looking through social media to see other cotswolds wedding photographer’ styles and previous work. Sheryl’s work just stuck out. I loved how it was so natural yet she had a distinctive style which really captures the feelings and emotions on the day. I could not have been happier with how our photos turned out. We said to Sheryl she would have a challenge as we never get good photos together… She smashed it!
What was the most memorable part of the wedding day?
For us it was just the feeling of having everyone you love and care for under one roof, all celebrating the day with you. After postponing the day twice it was just such a good feeling.
Any top tips for future brides?
I think everyone says this, but it really is true. Don’t worry or panic over the little details or what could go wrong. When the day comes you will forget about all that stuff and no one will notice anyway! Also, have a minute together to look at everything going on and take it all in. It goes so quickly and really is the best day ever
